Her-Story

Driven by her own experiences and a calling from God, A'sha opened her doors and welcomed over 10 young girls and women, along with their children, into her own home over the past five years. It was a personal mission, a labor of love that ignited a fire within her soul to want change in homelessness for girls and women trying to figure out their lives. But as time went on, she realized that her calling was much greater than what she could accomplish within the confines of her own home.

 

A'sha's dream began to take shape, and she knew it was time to bring it to life. With unwavering determination, she set her sights on acquiring 21 1/2 acres of land, the perfect canvas for her vision to flourish. The first location, aptly named "The Lakes of Her Homes," is destined to be in Anna, Texas. A'sha believed that partnering with the city of Anna would allow her organization to do extraordinary work, not only transforming the lives of the girls and women they served but also enriching the entire community.

 

Born in Gary, Indiana, A'sha had experienced loss at a young age, losing her mother. This tragedy brought about numerous challenges and changes in her life. However, as she grew older and her own children reached a certain age, she felt a deep desire to pursue her dreams. This desire led her to make the courageous decision to uproot her life and move from Woodland Hills, California to Allen, Texas in 2016.

 

Now, standing at the precipice of her dream becoming a reality, A'sha Scott and her organization are ready to embark on a journey that will forever change the lives of countless girls and women. With the support of kind-hearted individuals, generous donors, and the city of Anna, they will build a community where love, support, and empowerment are the core values.

 

This is just the beginning and the first of 12 communities to be built under this vision. This is the story of A'sha Scott, a woman who turned her personal struggles into a beacon of hope for others. It is a story of resilience, compassion, and the unwavering belief that every girl and woman deserves the opportunity to find their purpose and thrive. Together, they will build a legacy that will inspire generations to come.
